Bad Credit?
Let's face it, we are all human. We have made mistakes in the past the we are
not proud of, or because of unforeseen circumstances, things get out of hand.
Be it divorce, death, unemployment, or a harsh economy, sometimes things get
tough.
For those who own a home, you have the option of using your equity to get yourself
out of debt, or to improve your credit through debt
consolidation. But what about those who do not have a home to use as equity?
Well, you still have options!
Because each person's financial situation is unique to them, having a scarred
credit history makes you harder to fit into a "conforming loan," but
today's mortgage market has investors who actually prefer dealing with "non-conforming"
clients. However, unlike conforming loans, a non-conforming loan involves borrowers
that are harder to fit into a program. This means that different documents are
required for different borrowers.
The recommended way to apply for a loan if you feel you have not-so-perfect
credit, or even bad credit, is to speak with a professional before going for
a loan. A broker (like us) is the best way to go, since we deal with different
banks. If one bank does not accept your application, chances are another one
will. But with a broker, you won't have to go from bank to bank yourself, re-applying,
and so on. Since your situation is special, you'll need special attention to
get yourself a loan.
